Fred Fry owned the Liberal Ice Company in Liberal, Kansas for quite a few years. He is a past member of the Board of Directors and served as our President in 1991 - 1992. Fred retired in 1997 and moved to Kingsland, TX where he still lived when he passed away on November 22, 2008 at his residence.
Fred was an Eagle Scout and stayed active with the Scouts and Explorers from 1939 until 1970. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and worked as manager for Home Oil Company until 1997.
Fred is survived by his wife of 56 years Freda, two daughters, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was well loved by his fellow icemen and he will be missed.
